Stop Motion Animation Camp (AGES: 9-12)
Let your child explore the world of contemporary art through Alabama Contemporary Summer Camps!
Our most popular summer camp is back! Campers, get ready to put your storytelling skills to the test for a week of animation projects that combine technology, art and collaboration. Campers will learn the basics of stop-motion animation and the storyboard creation process before constructing their own sets and characters for three short films. Friends and family members are invited to attend a screening of the animators’ films on the final day of camp—Friday, July 13th at 3PM.
AGES: 9-12 | CAPACITY: 10 students | LENGTH: 3 hours | COST: $125 for non-members $100 for members
A camp constitutes a daily 3-hour session over a five-day period. Price covers the cost for all five days.
Registration is available at www.eventbrite.com and at Alabama Contemporary Art Center. For more information, contact the Director of K-12 Education, Allison Skoda at 251-208-5657.
