Memory Cafe

Memory Cafe at Alabama Contemporary Art Center provides a meeting place for individuals living with changes in their memory, mild cognitive impairment, or dementia due to Alzheimer’s disease or related disorders to create and explore contemporary art while visiting with friends. Memory Cafe is also designed for care partners to enjoy a change of scene and routine, meet and exchange ideas with other care partners, learn about resources, and experience respite and renewal in their relationship with their loved one living with dementia.

In this month’s class, participants will use acrylic paint to embellish a floral vase in preparation for Memory Cafe in March, where participants will learn the basics of floral design.
